It was a rainy day when we embarked on the safari. As soon as we entered the park, we got lucky as we sighted a pack of wild dogs. They seemed ready to welcome us.
We spent over fifteen memorable minutes with them. Subsequently, the distinctive warning call of the Spotted Deer helped us sight a pair of Leopards crossing the high way.
It was a real treat watching these Leopards on the highway! We then entered the game road and spotted a herd of elephants in the salt lick. What a wonderful sighting this was during the monsoon! There were days when we barely saw animals during the monsoons.
As we proceeded along our journey, we were fortunate enough to watch several species of wildlife. Once again, there were very distinct warning calls from both the Spotted Deer as well as Langurs. Now the question at hand was what were we going to be privileged enough to sight next?
As we had already sighted Leopards and Wild Dogs, we were keen on a tiger sighting. We waited for the predator for almost twenty long minutes. Our patience bore fruit when finally, much to our amazement, a Tiger emerged from the bushes! Sighting the much awaited Tiger was a great experience!
